I never imagined that after almost six years on the air, this would be the one blog I'd ever have to write, but here we are. To tell you the truth, this is the most difficult one I've ever had to write.
I used to tell people that I treated the station as if it were one of my children. And I'm sure I paid more attention to it than my children at first. KDUB Radio, on the other hand, expanded in so many ways over the years, and I observed how people gravitated to it. People who had the same passion for music that I did. Two men' passion for music was one of the key reasons that KDUB Radio was founded. But we took it a step further by launching KDUB Center Stage, which evolved into our Artist Spotlight, which featured independent artists from all around the world. It didn't stop there, either. The Artist Spotlight grew to the point where I had to split it off into its own station earlier this year. Which broadcasts our indie artists 24 hours a day, seven days a week. We have five syndicated shows that play throughout the week on our Artist Spotlight station, in addition to playing all of our indie artists. Now, almost six years later, I'm here to inform you that KDUB Radio may have to close its doors. It upsets me because we had been together for so long. We made it through two years that were difficult for many people, but it seems to be catching up with us now. But I'm making a last-ditch effort to salvage KDUB Radio, but I won't be able to do it alone, and I'll need some assistance. I've launched a fundraiser so that you can contribute and help me keep the station running until at least the end of 2022. There is no such thing as a tiny donation, so whatever you can provide will be highly appreciated. Please spread the news to anyone who enjoys and is enthusiastic about music if you are able. Let's see how long we can keep the music going.
