Hello, everyone! I just wanted to give you an update on what's going on with KDUB Radio right now. First and foremost, I'd want to thank everyone who has contributed to KDUB Radio. You have no idea how much this has helped me over the last few months. As a result, I am grateful to everyone who has assisted me. If you still want to give, the link remains on our home page. Second, I'd want to thank all of the artists who have submitted music submissions to me in the last several months. I'm doing my best to get to them as soon as possible, but it's not going as well as I'd hoped. But I'll get to them shortly. The reason is because I am now in school pursuing a master's degree, and the class that I am in has been taking a lot of my time away from KDUB Radio. I've been able to keep up with the daily responsibilities, but I haven't been able to keep up with the music submissions that have been pouring in, for which I apologize. I plan to have this taken care of after this class is through here in a few weeks, so please bear with me. Again, I regret for any trouble this may have caused, and if you have any questions, please contact me at [email protected], and I will do my best to respond as soon as possible. Thank you for reading, and I hope everyone has a wonderful day. - B-Dub

First I would like to say thank you for the donations that we have received so far. Those donations have helped keep KDUB Radio on the air for another couple of months. With that being said, we are still a long way from reaching our goal. No donation is too small. Whatever you can give will help us. Also if you can share our fundraiser, it would be very much appreciated. Thank you in advance from all of us at KDUB Radio especially from myself. You don't know how much this means to me.
I never imagined that after almost six years on the air, this would be the one blog I'd ever have to write, but here we are. To tell you the truth, this is the most difficult one I've ever had to write.
I used to tell people that I treated the station as if it were one of my children. And I'm sure I paid more attention to it than my children at first. KDUB Radio, on the other hand, expanded in so many ways over the years, and I observed how people gravitated to it. People who had the same passion for music that I did. Two men' passion for music was one of the key reasons that KDUB Radio was founded. But we took it a step further by launching KDUB Center Stage, which evolved into our Artist Spotlight, which featured independent artists from all around the world. It didn't stop there, either. The Artist Spotlight grew to the point where I had to split it off into its own station earlier this year. Which broadcasts our indie artists 24 hours a day, seven days a week. We have five syndicated shows that play throughout the week on our Artist Spotlight station, in addition to playing all of our indie artists. Now, almost six years later, I'm here to inform you that KDUB Radio may have to close its doors. It upsets me because we had been together for so long. We made it through two years that were difficult for many people, but it seems to be catching up with us now. But I'm making a last-ditch effort to salvage KDUB Radio, but I won't be able to do it alone, and I'll need some assistance. I've launched a fundraiser so that you can contribute and help me keep the station running until at least the end of 2022. There is no such thing as a tiny donation, so whatever you can provide will be highly appreciated. Please spread the news to anyone who enjoys and is enthusiastic about music if you are able. Let's see how long we can keep the music going. I hope everyone had a great and safe holiday season. I have been teasing for a couple of months about a huge announcement that I had concerning KDUB Radio and it's now time to let you know what it is.
When Tommy K. and I started KDUB Radio back in 2016, we were looking for a place to broadcast our show Therapy for the Mind. But after being on the air for over five years, KDUB Radio has become more. Over the past five years we have added more shows like Brawl 4 All Radio, Banana Needle Gaming, KDUB Center Stage and the Quite Great Radio Show. But we didn't stop there beside the great music that we played 24/7, we also extended the stage to our indie artists to showcase their talents on KDUB Radio as well with our Artist Spotlight which aired on Wednesdays & Fridays from 9pm-Midnight. Which brings me to my announcement, starting on February 1st, you will be able to hear our Artist Spotlight artists 24/7 on their on extension of KDUB Radio through our Artist Spotlight page and the KDUB Radio app. Now this doesn't mean that KDUB Radio is changing our format. We are still going to be playing our same rock format (or loosely rock format as I like to call it) that we have been playing for the last five years. You can still access our regular station on our website or through the TuneIn Radio App. Along with these changes, our shows may be access a little different as well. If you hadn't noticed last year, both Therapy for the Mind, Brawl 4 All Radio and KDUB Center Stage all transferred into podcast form and can be found on most podcast platforms like Stitcher, iHeart, Apple Podcasts and Google Podcasts. Right now, we have all the shows on a short hiatus as we go through this change over but we hope to be back at it here with new content shortly. As for The Quite Great Radio Show, you will be able to still catch it every Wednesday night at 8pm EST on our KDUB Radio's Artist Spotlight station. As for all indie artists out there, we are always in search of new music to be added to our station and now with the extension of our Artist Spotlight, we are in need even more. So if you would like to submit your music to us, feel free to fill out our contact form and we will let you know how to submit your music to us. We can't wait to start this next journey for KDUB Radio and see where it takes us down the road. As 2020 comes to an end, I know that a lot of people are glad that it's over and ready for 2021. We have learned a lot from this past year. From learning how to thrive from working or attending school from home to doing Zoom meetings or having our meals delivered or picked up. Let's just say 2020 didn't turn out like a lot of us wanted it to. Trust me even here at KDUB Radio, we have had to adapt to doing things differently this past year. And I felt that it didn't hinder our progress this year. Actually, it moved us farther into the future with what I would like to see happen with the station.
Now with that being said, I would like to thank some people who have helped and supported KDUB Radio this past year. First, I would like to thank Tommy K., Dr. Lib, and MacAttack from Therapy for the Mind. We had to overcome a lot this past year and I want to thank you guys for sticking with me this year. You guys help me make my job on the show and off a lot easier so thank you for that. Second, I would like to thank, "Positively" Steven, Mr. Wrestling 67, Dominator Dustin, and Sensational Cierra from Brawl 4 All Radio. Again this year has caused us to do our show differently than normal but we have been able to accomplish it with very little problems so thank you for sticking with me during this time. Third, I would like to thank JJ Kane for allowing us to broadcast "The Quite Great Radio Show" weekly on KDUB Radio. I am happy that there are people out there that want to promote indie artists just like we do. Thank you, JJ for your continued support of us and we can't wait to see what happens in 2021. And speaking of indie artists, I want to give a huge thank you to all of our indie artists that have been part of our Artist Spotlight this past year. You guys have made me work overtime to keep up with all of the submissions that I have gotten over this past year. I will have to say that I am a little behind but hope to get caught up here within the next month. But without our indie artists, there wouldn't be an Artist Spotlight so thank you again for this past year. Also, I have some great news about our Artist Spotlight that I will share at the end of this. I would also like to thank some businesses that have helped KDUB Radio move forward into 2021. Thank you Radio.co for allowing us to use your platform to broadcast KDUB Radio on a daily basis. Thanks to Podcast.co and Anchor for allowing us to turn our shows into podcasts and distribute them to more platforms to reach more listeners. Thank you to Weebly, Hootsuite, Headliner, Bracket Ninja, and Fotojet for allowing us to create posts and content for our website and social media. The final two businesses that I would like to thank are actually two of the newest ones that have come on board. I would like to thank Phantom Producer for helping us create some awesome imaging for the station. Also, thank you to Radiojar as we are about ready to embark on a new adventure starting in the new year. The final thank-yous that I want to give go out to a few people. First I would like to thank my wife for putting up with me this last year. I know that I can be a pain in the ass a lot of times but you know how much this venture means to me and you still support me after all these years. I also want to thank my daughters because they have to put up with me as well. I want to thank all of my family and friends who have supported my dream with KDUB Radio and my passion for this thing that I love so much to do on a daily basis. Finally, I want to give a huge thank you to all of our listeners. You guys are what makes KDUB Radio what it is. I always listen and try to respond to everyone's comments whenever we receive them as quickly as possible. Now I said that I have a big announcement concerning our Artist Spotlight. The announcement is that on January 4th of 2021, our Artist Spotlight will stream 24/7 on our website. You will be able to access it on the Artist Spotlight page. This will allow us to showcase a lot more of the indie artists that are part of the KDUB Radio family. With that being said, KDUB Radio will have a new look and sound starting January 4th. Since we have partnered with Radiojar and Phantom Producer, we will be able to do some new things that we have not been able to do since KDUB Radio's beginning in 2016. A few of the things will be but not limited to, song requests, and Facebook Live sessions. I am looking forward to being able to interact with everyone and take requests. Finally, as I finish this last blog of 2020, I just want to wish everyone a Happy New Year and I look forward to what will be accomplished in 2021 and hope that I am able to work or network with many of you this coming year. This year has been crazy is so many levels with everything going on so first and foremost, I hope that everyone is staying safe & healthy as we navigate through this year that we call 2020. As for KDUB Radio, I feel that we have accomplished a lot and persevered during this time. With that being said, KDUB Radio is about to go even farther than it ever has. So over the next couple months, you might see some new features on the station and website.
Also, I would like to take a moment and thank all of the artists and record companies that have reached out to us about promoting their music during our Artist Spotlight. The reception for the Artist Spotlight has been overwhelming and I am doing the best I can to get through all of the submissions and add them to our rotation. Plus add artist profiles to our Artist Spotlight page. Because of all of the awesome artists that we promote during our Artist Spotlight we may have to add a additional Artist Spotlight programming. Look out for that here in the next couple of months. Again, I hope everyone is staying safe & healthy and we will see you down the road. We would like to say congratulations to our 2020 Hair Madness Tournament winner...Guns N' Roses. We also wanted to thank everyone who participated in this year's tournament. We hope that you enjoyed it as much as we did. We can't wait until next year!
Well folks, it's that time of year again here at KDUB Radio. It's time for our third annual Hair Madness tournament and just like last year, we are leaving it up to you, the listeners, to choose who you think should be in this year's tournament. All you have to do is go to our Hair Madness 2020 page and pick all of the bands that you feel should be in. The 16 bands with the most votes will be in. There's not limit on how many times that you vote. You have until March 15th to make your selections. Good luck to all the bands this year!
Good Friday to everyone! Hope it's going well. Just wanted to let you know that we just uploaded some content to different areas of the website. If you didn't get to hear our Christmas show, KDUB Radio Christmas Rodeo, you can find it under our Special Content page. You can get there by clicking on the Special Content button on our Home page. Also we have updated our show archives for Brawl 4 All Radio and THE JJ KANE ALL NEW MUSIC SHOW. You can find these within their show pages. We will be updating our Artist Spotlight page here soon with some of the new artists that we are starting to play during our Artist Spotlight. That's all we have this time around. Hope everyone has a great weekend and we'll talk to everyone soon!
On behalf of everyone at KDUB Radio, I would like to wish everyone a Happy New Year! I hope everyone had a safe New Year and are ready to tackle 2020. As I look forward to this year, it's filled with a lot of promise and potential. I have a lot on the slate for KDUB Radio for this next year which includes some new additions and some returns. I don't want to give too much away because nothing is set in stone just yet. But I guarantee to try to put as much energy as I can into KDUB Radio. One thing that I can announce is that Hair Madness will be coming back in March so be on the lookout for information on that. If you haven't already, follow us on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and Youtube to keep up to date with everything going on with KDUB Radio. Finally, I would like to give a lot of Thanks to certain people.
First, I would like to Thank Tommy K. who has been with me since we started our mobile DJ Business together. Thanks for putting up with me and all of my ideas, no matter what they were. I consider you more a brother than anything else. Love you, man! Next, I would like to Thank Steven for being a great friend and co-host on Brawl 4 All Radio. We have gotten to experience a lot in the past four years that we have been doing the show and I can't wait for us to achieve even more doing this show. Next, I would like to Thank Mr. Wrestling 67 for joining Steven & I on Brawl 4 All Radio. You are a great addition to the team and I enjoy talking wrestling with you every week. Next, I would like to Thank MacAttack for his forever ambition of wanting to help get the word out about KDUB Radio. I appreciate your enthusiasm to wanting to be a part of my vision. I can't wait to see what we will be able to do in 2020. Also Amy, we are working on getting the three of us back together to do a show. Next, I would like to Thank Alicia Payne, our Business Relation Director. Thank you for coming on as a intern while you were at the Ohio Media School and staying on after graduation. I appreciate everything that you have done for KDUB Radio. You have put our name out there and I can't say how much I am proud of what you have accomplished for us. I Thank You from the bottom of my heart for your involvement. Next, I would like to Thank all of the artists that are part of our Artist Spotlight page. I appreciate all of you for wanted to be a part of the KDUB Radio family and my promise to you is I will spotlight you as much as possible. And if you guys ever need anything from me, feel free to reach out to us and I will do my best to fulfill any requests that you ask. Next, I would like to Thanks my family and friends who have supported KDUB Radio over the past four years. I appreciate everyone for everything that you have done to help with a huge dream of mine. I want to personally thank my wife, Tanisha, who has been by my side supporting me since day one. I know that I haven't been easy to live with sometimes but you still give me a 110% everyday. Finally, I would like to say Thanks to all of our listeners and followers. It doesn't matter if you were with us at the beginning or just started following and listening to us. You are the reason we can do what we love and that is to entertain you everyday. We appreciate you from the bottom of our hearts. Wrapping up as we move into the new year, I just have to say that I can't wait to get started and provide the best listening experience for you. Four years may not seem like a long time but it's a achievement that I thought I wouldn't see with this station. Again Thanks to everyone and we will see you down the line. |
